Anne Kolbe

Anne Kolbe (1989) works with performance, sculpture, installation, sound, and other speculative forms to explore relations between human and non-human bodies. She reconfigures everyday materials and vegetal presences into situations where familiarity slips and relations remain strange.

Anne Kolbe studied fine art at St. Joost and the Piet Zwart Institute. Her work has been shown in group and solo shows in the Netherlands and abroad. Her practice is currently supported by the Mondriaan Fund.

She also holds a degree in education and has a background in language and literature. She currently teaches at St. Joost School of Art & Design and the Willem de Kooning Academy.
