Anne Kolbe (1989) works with performance, sculpture, installation, sound, and other speculative forms to explore relations between human and non-human bodies. She reconfigures everyday materials and vegetal presences into situations where familiarity slips and relations remain strange.
She studied fine art at St. Joost and the Piet Zwart Institute (2013; 2018) and has a degree in education, language and literature. She teaches at St. Joost School of Art & Design and the Willem de Kooning Academy. Her practice is currently supported by the Mondriaan Fund with an artist basic grant.
