- “Blocks Blocks Blocks” was a solo presentation at Hotel Maria Kapel in 2015 (Hoorn, NL). I took the block – an archetypical form which underlies spatiality and architecture – as a basis thread: a block that obscures, interrupts, and supports – as both barrier and building tool. I wanted to see what happened when that form became method. While staying in the residency studio, I also became acquainted with a monstera pot plant, which was the sole living witness of my adventures. This house plant became the block’s antagonist in a new video work. They started talking about perception all day long, until it got dark and they could see no more.
