YOU HAVE TO HAVE A SENSE OF WHAT YOUR CHARACTERS ARE DOING WHEN YOU ARE NOT LOOKING IN ORDER TO SELL THE PLAY

For the Piet Zwart Institute MFA graduation show ‘Tripping Autonomy’ I made an installation consisting of a coniferous textured working fountain and some loose elements/sculptures that were made around the concept of mimicking the architectural characteristics of the space (De Kroon, Rotterdam). The sculptures where scattered around in different places in the group show, held together by a choreography in the form of a little map. The fountain was shown outdoors at Charlois Speciaal earlier in 2018. Photo’s were taken by Vera Mennens and Lotte Stekelenburg (courtesy of the Piet Zwart MFA).
